2010 Philander Smith College Presidential Luncheon
Tickets are still available for the Philander Smith College 2010 President's Luncheon to be held Friday, Sept. 24, at 11:30 a.m. in the Nugent Room of the Harry R. Kendall Science and Health Mission Center. This year's co-chairs, Chip and Cindy Murphy will join President Walter M. Kimbrough in honoring our Cultural Affairs Director Lawrence O. Hamilton. "Bless the Mic" Series Opens with Dr. Michael Eric Dyson
Renowned author, professor and cultural critic Dr. Michael Eric Dyson will be the first to appear at the "Bless the Mic" lecture series on Thursday, Sept. 23, at Philander Smith College's M.L. Harris Auditorium. Opening the fifth year of the series, Dyson returns with his opinions on culture, politics and education trends. No tickets or reserved seating are required for the 7 p.m. event which is open to the public. Students are encouraged to attend.
