Thanks for the calls

Thank you for the phone calls for our students needing textbooks. We have an online link below where you can give also. As some of you may know, text books are expensive and several Philander Smith College students need help purchasing books for this semester's courses. We have around 700 students enrolled this semester and 400 of them are living on campus, and need help meeting all of their expenses. They cannot succeed without our help. Help us, help them. The family of the late Dr. Jill Trice is sponsoring a memorial jazz brunch scholarship fundraiser, Saturday, Aug. 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit Philadner Smith College students. Please attend, by purchasing a ticket for $40 in advance and $50 at the door. Trumpeter Rodney Block & The Real Music Lovers; and saxophonist Marquis Hunt will perform original and popular jazz sensations. Call Yvonne Alexander, Alumni Affairs Director, at (501) 370-5271 for tickets.
